I first saw Hugo’s art when a good friend of mine from the Buffalo, New York area sent me a flyer from the Joann Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition, at which Hugo was the featured artist. It was some of the most interesting art of musical instruments I had ever seen. I immediately did some research on him and contacted him, asking him if he would be interested in painting a guitar for GZ Guitars. He agreed and has painted a guitar every year since 2008. They are always top features at shows, with the media and with customers. Hugo has agreed to be our first featured artist.

These are guitars that really represent our GZ Music/Art focus.

In my opinion this is the coolest set of guitars GZ has ever done. All of the art work & carving was done by San Antonio artist Scott Glenn,who I met at the Dallas Guitar Show. Scott is an unbelievable talent that I guarantee you will hear more about in the future.

The art theme for both are based on the Mexican Holiday Los Muertos. The bodies are carved and painted giving an amazing effect that is truly unique. Scott designed, carved, and painted these guitars.

This Fender Bass is a new Fender P Bass, with all original parts, hardware and electronics.

The Stratocaster has a Fender USA body and a “Fender” neck from Allparts. It has a HSH configuration with DMarzio D Sonic high output humbuckers and a mid DMarzio rail single for balance. It has custom black hardware that really compliments the effect.

Both come with the original Fender hard cases.
