Crash Arrow

This guitar was painted by John “CRASH” Matos, a well-known, NYC-based artist in both the graffiti and fine-art communities. CRASH garnered the attention of the guitar world after painting Eric Clapton’s Fender Stratocaster, now known as “CRASH-3″, which was sold for $750,000 at the Christie’s June 2004 Crossroads Auction.

This Fender Telecaster was painted by CRASH at his studio in New York in 2006 and is signed and dated. It was built by Kyle Ruggendorf, who, at the age of 29 is becoming one of the outstanding “guitar guys” in the Northeast. Kyle used the Fender USA alder body, maple neck and hardware. He chose custom made Lindy Fralin Blues Special pickups.
